# Terms and rates

Three vaults. Rates are annual, fixed and paid in USDC.

|                   | Open                                               | 6 months                                  | 12 months                                  |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Rate              | 7% a year, fixed for each 30 day period            | 12% a year, fixed for the term            | 15% a year, fixed for the term             |
| Interest paid | Monthly, at the end of each 30 day period | Monthly, at the end of each month | Monthly, at the end of each month |
| Minimum           | \[Open minimum: Alpha]                             | 2,500 USDC                                | 1,500 USDC                                 |
| Term | 30 days, rolling | 6 months from the day your deposit clears | 12 months from the day your deposit clears |
| At maturity | Rolls into a new 30 day period unless you withdraw | Principal returned | Principal returned |
| Getting out early | Withdraw any time | Redeem with 45 days' notice | Redeem with 45 days' notice |
| Capacity | Up to 25% of the deposit limit | Shares the rest of the limit | Shares the rest of the limit |

Every vault funds the same pool of invoices. The vault you choose changes your rate, your term and how you get your money out, not what your money does.

Interest is paid monthly on every vault. You can also turn on autocompounding: interest is then added to your principal at each month end instead of being paid out, and earns the note's rate from then on. At the stated rates that works out to about 7.2% effective on Open, 12.7% on 6 months and 16.1% on 12 months over a full year. Compounded interest counts as principal, so it uses capacity and carries the same risk as the rest of your note.

Open is capped at 25% of the deposit limit so the pool isn't dependent on short money. When a vault is full, the app says so. See [Deposit limit](/deposit-limit.md).

The 6 and 12 month rates are fixed when you sign and don't change for the life of the note. Open's rate is fixed for each 30 day period and may change for the next one, with \[notice period for a rate change: Alpha] notice. Rates for new notes may differ; existing notes keep theirs.

How to get your money out is in [Withdrawals and redemptions](/withdrawals-and-redemptions.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.eiva.money/terms-and-rates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
